This position is to provide marketing strategy and execution to the Equity Markets business unit. The successful candidate will work closely with the decision makers in the supported businesses to proactively promote the business Key Accountabilities: ? Research and develop marketing strategies for supported businesses, working in conjunction with the business heads and ensuring alignment with the platforms overall brand strategy. ? Undertake and analyze client research to determine how the business is perceived in the market and what perceptions need to be addressed to allow the business to move forward. ? Implement (with very little outside vendor support) tactics outlined in the marketing strategies for supported businesses. These tactics could include: advertising, collateral development (brochures, marketing sheets, mailers, etc.), sponsorships, conferences, email marketing, web communications, promotions, awards managements, donations support, speech and letter writing, etc. ? Assist with research marketing tactics to recommend ideas and new strategies to the business. ? Work with heads of marketing for other RBC Capital Markets? business units, to ensure that messages closely align across our issuing, sales and trading businesses. ? Monitor general marketing trends and tactics so the businesses are employing the most advanced and effective marketing practices. ? This position does not include crisis management, media relations or internal communications as these services are provided by RBCs corporate communications department. ? Work closely with other members of the Equity Markets business. ? Work with all other colleagues in the client and marketing strategy group on joint initiatives to promote the firm. Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): Required: (Mandatory) ? Experience with marketing financial services firms. ? Minimum of 4 years of professional experience. ? Experience working on multiple, high-visibility projects. ? Excellent communications and presentation skills. ? Highly organized and entrepreneurial, with strong drive for customer service. ? Creative problem solving skills. ? Attention to detail. ? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent, high-pressure, corporate environment. ? Fully proficient in all MS Office tools. Preferred: ?
