Medical Technologist Training Specialist

Requires a B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Medical Technology, or Life Sciences. Typically 3-7 years of successful experience in a laboratory or hospital lab enviroment. Clinical background or Diagnostics needed. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable. This position is estimated 70% active, when the incumbent is standing on feet all day and moving around classroom. The remaining 30% is sedentary, mostly computer work. Biohazard materials and exposure to internal areas of the instruments are daily exposures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is supplied. Frequently required to move instruments or lift parts up to 50 lbs. Mostly domestic and occasionally international travel is necessary to provide training, workshops and seminars, for meetings or professional development courses. Travel can be 1 day to 1+ weeks at one time dependent on the purpose. Requires frequent use of computer, telephone, CPS unit, audio/visual/recording equipment.
