Position: BU CLAB Performance Controlling This is a new position within the Finance / Central Lab Business Unit. The position is created to provide a comprehensive planning, analysis and reporting function within the Business Unit. The position is primarily responsible to provide visibility and transparency to the BU Global financial results, in order for the BU to achieve its? short-mid term financial plans. This will be accomplished through the development of routine reporting tools and analytical processes, and a strong ability to communicate with peers and business leaders both within and external to the BU. Specific responsibilities include: ? Financial ownership of the Global operational and strategic planning for the BU (full I&E). ? Provide consolidated financial analysis of the Central Lab Business Unit, including meaningful commentary on variances to plan and recommendations for corrective action where necessary. ? Develop a consolidated management reporting package for the business unit. ? Develop a forecast process for the business unit, including identification of significant risks and opportunities to plan, and recommendations for corrective actions where necessary. ? Provide Controlling function for the BU, including financial oversight of BU cost centers, royalty income and expense, BU managed accruals and BU managed sales to partners. ? Provide analysis and presentation materials in support of key Division and BU governance processes, such as Division Operating Update Meetings, Division Quarterly Business Reviews, BU Operations Meetings and BU Staff Meetings. ? Interact with Supply Chain, Headquarters functions and Regional Companies to understand operational performance. ? Interact with Diagnostics Division Performance Controlling to ensure alignment of dates, key deliverables, system and data requirements ? Manage Risks & Opportunities (ERM), Productivity Controlling and other initiatives for the BU. Provide regular updates to the BU leadership team. Capabilities Required for the Position: ? Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MBA desirable ? Experience: 10 - 15 Years in a multi-national, diverse company with managerial experience ? Competencies: ? Ability to analyze large volumes of input, and provide a concise summary of findings ? Ability to develop, communicate and drive plans ? in simple, actionable fashion ? Ability to interact with and influence peers and stakeholders outside of function ? Demonstrated ability to independently identify & solve complex business problems Position reports directly to BU VP Finance and is located in Tarrytown, NY. A successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, who is highly analytical, deadline focused, sees the large picture while still managing the detail, can connect business issues to financial results, and can present information in a clear, concise manner (spoken and presentation). Central Lab Business Unit The Central Laboratory Business Unit is part of the Diagnostics Division, within the Healthcare sector. The BU is over • 3B in annual revenue, with market growth of 4-5%.
