Marketing Specialist - Industrial Steam Turbines

Direct, manage, and perform a marketing function for the Industrial Applications Service business. Manage and prioritize regional team negotiation activities with the applicable customer service representatives and sales representatives. Co-ordinate and support customer visits, including all required negotiation activities. Provide advice, assistance and guidance to the regional sales organizations, as well as to the applicable Siemens Regional Entities,  to ensure that the objectives of Industrial Applications Service business are achieved. Develop a regional strategy for market expansion and penetration. Extensive travel to customer sites. Recommend strategies for sales and price realization for the Industrial Applications Service business. Development of technical and commercial proposals, with an understanding of market price conditions, delivery requirements, competition and their anticipated actions and customer considerations (buying habits, decision making process budgeting cycle, etc.). Develop an understanding of market conditions and cycles as they apply to the industrial segment of our business. Assist with the creation and development of new service packages for our operating fleet of equipment. Conform to the commercial policies of the Industrial Applications Service business, including costing/pricing determination, profit requirements, understanding cash flow, understanding contractual terms and conditions along with Siemens? position, as well as LoA and compliance requirements. Communication Skills: Ability to listen actively and articulate thoughts in both oral and written form Analytical Skills: Ability to understand complexities, make sound problem assessments and crystallize the issues. Networking Skills: Display networking Skills to build internal and external partnerships and alliances for the exchange of knowledge, experience and services for mutual benefits. Customer Focus: Ability to anticipate and understand customers? needs, be responsive and keep commitments. Strategic Orientation: Demonstrate business insight and see the big picture; aware of trends and able to create a vision. Position requires good negotiation skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively through oral and written means. Must also have the ability to analyze all situations, and determine the best course of action with the customer and Siemens best interests in mind. Position requires a thorough understanding of the of the global Industrial Applications markets, with a focus on the Americas market, including customer base, growth and regulation trends, the competitive environment, price trends for the businesses involved and alternative market applications. Position requires a specific knowledge of product applications, equipment capabilities and economic evaluation. Requires the command of advance business techniques, principles and quantitative analysis. Must have thorough knowledge of the corporate commercial practices and application of all legal requirements.
