1) experience with lending and loan origination systems 2) a love of giving presentations and demos 3) product management experience
I. Summary The Product Manager is responsible for analyzing the Company’s product offerings in light of target market needs, and to present effective changes and additions to our products. This role also extends to generating new product ideas.
II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Actively sustain expertise in Company’s product market, current developments, and hot topics for the industry. • Mentor Product Managers and Product Analysts in developing an expertise of our market. • Creatively foster relationships with 3rd party vendors, mentoring the Connector Program Coordinator in developing a proactive approach to seeking 3rd party opportunities. • Execute competitive analysis of the Company’s products in the marketplace. • Research and identify the Company’s top competitors and maintain a thorough understanding of their products’ strategic advantages. • Responsible to uphold a fruitful relationship with 3rd parties and potential 3rd parties. • Perform feature comparison between competitors’ products and Company’s products; Define Company product weaknesses. • Conduct market research to identify trends and problems, and define possible solutions for common industry problems. • Evaluate and recommend third party products and services that complement Company’s products. • Represent Company and its products at trade shows and other industry forums to further advance knowledge of Company and its products in the market place. • Review incoming customer requests on a periodic basis; Manage customer expectations and requests. • Maintain product specific content in the Company internet and intranet site. • Support the sales organization by developing presentations and demonstrations; Provide content in regards to product functionality and product direction. • Provide content for marketing material and sales data sheets. • Configure demo environment with each new release so that new features can be appropriately demonstrated. • Other duties may be assigned.

V. Qualifications Education • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent experience is required.
Experience • 10-15 years experience as a product manager with increasing responsibility is required. • Minimum of 5 years of lending experience. • Strong project management aptitude including experience and comfort level with margin lending operations. • Banking and credit union experience is preferred.
Communication Skills • Verbal / Nonverbal – Fluidly communicates with upper management and team members and capable of translating business and technical concepts for the given audience. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens attentively and seeks clarification; Responds well to questions; Maintain professional nonverbal communication analogous to situations. • Written - Writes clearly and informatively with a high level of sophistication; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret complex written information. • Presentation – Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations. Presents clearly and informatively, easily maintaining audience attention and responding to audience needs; Able to facilitate discussion, progress effectively, and manage audience as needed.
Computer Skills Become and remain proficient in all programs necessary to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. • Advanced experience in all MS Office tools is required. • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint is preferred.
