General DescriptionsThe Christiana Care Department of Psychiatry seeks a full-time board eligible or certified psychiatrist to direct the psychiatric consultation service at Christiana Hospital, a 800 bed regional, Tertiary Care Facility which includes a level I trauma center and a full range of specialty programs in Trauma, Womens Health, Heart and Vascular, and Oncology.

The successful applicant will have experience in general hospital psychiatry and demonstrate the  capacity for leadership of  an existing team of psychiatrists and nurses providing consultative services in a health system nationally recognized for quality and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, medical student and resident education, and research.

The Department of Psychiatry is an educational affiliate of the Thomas Jefferson Medical College and serves as a regional referral center for the full range of Behavioral Health Care services.
