Job Title Vice President, Architecture & Compliance Auto req ID 4990BR CBS Business Unit CBS Corporate Division/Station IT Department Architecture & Compliance Location New York - New York Job Description The Vice President of Architecture and Compliance is responsible for providing leadership and expertise across several disciplines. In the architecture discipline he/ she will deliver: enterprise, business applications and integration architectures. Will oversees all compliance IT needs including SOX, and audit fuctions. Will oversee the information security function including: standards, policy, governance, forensics, risk assessment, awareness, training and disaster recovery. Responsibilites include: Architecture * Leads the creation of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) program, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture viewpoints * Understands, advocates and supports the enterprises business and IT strategies * Leads the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements; analyzing industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise * Analyzes the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. * Leads and facilitates the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision making for the IT Organization * Ensures that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities are in place. * Leads the development of an implementation plan for the EA, based on business requirements and IT strategies. Oversees EA implementation, ongoing EA refinement activities, and the documentation of all EA design and analysis work * Consults with program/project teams to fit solutions to architectures across all viewpoints. * Identifies organizational requirements for the resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the EA. * Establishes direction, vision and long-term strategy for all architecture levels. * Stays up-to-date on CBS business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to functional applications architecture or software development issues. * Collaborates on the creation of the CBS Technology Strategic Plan. * Leads the development of the requirements, principles and models for the future-state EA including Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture and Integration Architecture. * Responsible for creating the documentation of the current-state and future state architectures. * Ensures EA is properly scoped on enterprise information — those information assets that are deemed enterprise-significant as determined by business impact, decision impact, risk mitigation impact or organizational impact. * Establish the uniform and consistent identifiers, formats and protocols necessary for sharing and exchanging enterprise information (including structured and unstructured sources). * Champions efforts to improve business performance through solutions and capabilities business intelligence (BI), content management (CM), data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components. * Oversees the implementation of EA through the IT organization. * Leads the development of the EA in coordination with business improvement initiatives. In addition, identify opportunities to generate revenue or improve business performance through the use of internal or external information content and context. * Prepares conceptual and logical models, with implementation-level detail. * Monitors regulatory guidelines (such as privacy requirements), compliance-related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) and emerging industry standards to determine their impact on EA. Modifies EA to insurance compliance. * Develops and documents roadmaps describing the evolution of all enterprise solution portfolios from current state to future state and build a program to move the organization to the future state. * Works closely with IT Leadership (to ensure alignment of plans including migration plans and road maps) with what is being delivered. . * Analyzes enterprise business context (trends and business strategy), as well as change requirements in other EA viewpoints, to derive the EA change requirements to guide solution decisions for the enterprise. * Defines models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions for the enterprise. * Develops governance processes ensuring Architecture compliance. * Advocates, promotes, and educates the principles of business and IT strategies, EA and service delivery. Be prepared to "sell" the EA process, its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication, marketing or educational activities needed to ensure EA success and use.Serve as visionary, communicator, referee and evangelist for architecture Security & Compliance * Aligns critical business goals with security requirements. * Establishes and leads the security governance committee that insures security strategy’s and policy’s are balanced with business goals and risk management. * Establishes security policies in all areas of the business including corporate, Network, Films, Radio, TV, Simon, Showtime,CTD, CBSi and outdoor. Also sets policy for all common services entities including IT, HR, Data retention, Privacy, etc. * Responsible for coordinating security audits, SOX reviews, and policy compliance scanning. * Establishes a security council that reviews the results of this effort and takes corrective actions to rectify the failures uncovered. * Establishes, maintains and develops the company’s security maturity models for all aspects of the corporation. Develops action plans to improve the models as needed to attain maturity levels set by the Governance board. * Sets and develops the IT security requirements for network Infrastructure, monitoring, data, application code. Audits these areas to insure compliance. * Responsible for all IT forensics activities. * Primary interface to the Corporate Security Organization. * Develops external and internal access security policies. Insures the Infrastructure and interactive organizations have implemented the policies correctly. * Interfaces with legal for litigation matters and provides data and testimony as needed. * Handles all IT off-boarding processes including pc/files share duplication, id termination, access to IT systems. * Responsible for developing and maintaining IT Business Continuity plans, process and procedures. This includes establishing Network, PC, Systems, Data Center requirements. Responsible for coordinating regular drills to insure plans will function correctly. * Responsible for conducting risk assessments and setting acceptable risk level guidelines * Serves as the IT Security Advocate by conducting awareness seminars, defining and establishing training programs, communicating security guidelines, policies, and procedures thru regular communication programs(email, websites, etc). Creates and conducts training sessions as needed to educate the general employee population. * Responsible for all DR functions, testing oversight, and remediation. Required Skills/Experience * General: o 15+ years relevant business experience ideally gained within a complex, media company with sophisticated use of information technology and a focus on best practices. o Minimum 5 years of people management experience o Working knowledge of major software/hardware technology and technology vendors o Demonstrable record of innovative technology development, management and delivery. * Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of technical infrastructure, applications development, relational and object modeling, and best practices for the design, implementation and operation of both. Must be able to properly communicate with a number of different applications and engineering groups outside of IT within CBS Corp. * Financial/Quantitative Skills:Able to identify and quantify business value of IT investments and understands finance/budgeting. * Problem Solving/Analytical Skills: Able to synthesize disparate data, recognize underlying problems and develop creative technology and systems solutions to address business problems. * Strategic Planning Skills: Understands the positioning of the business within the marketplace, particularly customer needs and the competitive environment. Current or recent experience in developing and implementing data strategy, data quality and governance strategies across a complex organization. Experience in driving strategic change from definition to execution. * Communication Skills:Able to quickly grasp IT needs of the business and adept at explaining the costs and service level tradeoffs of various potential solutions. Able to maintain a balanced perspective amongst IT and business staff and keep everyone focused on primary objectives and tasks at hand. Diplomatic skills and experience necessary to work in a political organization. * Business Systems: Experience at reviewing, analyzing, recommending, consolidating and implementing business systems within the media, advertising, marketing, industry. * Business Process Change: Experienced in helping the business use systems and technology to create and drive process change. * Team: Able to build, develop and manage a high performance team with all the necessary skills. * Project Management Skills: Able to define project work elements/tasks, sequencing/scheduling, resource management, communication, risk management, etc. * Areas of Technical Knowledge: o Infrastructure Platforms MS XP/Vista and Mac clients, Unix, Linux, MS(.net), and V5R3AS400 server. o Databases: Oracle/Sybase/MS-SQL, MY-SQL o Applications: Oracle 12 (Financials, iProcurement, Human Capital Management), Data Warehousing, DAM, .NET, SharePoint, PHP, Java, Java Script, JSP’s, Open-source, BI, o Networks: understanding of: TCP-IP, Wan and LAN technologies o Architecture Strategies: SOA, SAAS, Web 2.0, Client -Server o Middle Ware: BizTalk, BEPL o Architecture Frameworks: Must be an expert in one or more methods(Zachman, TOGAF) o Architectures: Applications Architecture, Systems Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Process Architecture, Data Architecture. o Other: Capability Maturity Modeling Minimum Education Level Bachelors Degree Additional Candidate Instructions * Certified in one or more: Architecture(MCA, ITAC level 2, etc), Security(CISSP, CompTIA) Job Status Full Time
