Summary: Looking for CCNP/CCIE level network administrator to support 200+ offices/call centers and client locations. Salary range is $85K - $120K depending on cert (i.e. current CCNP/CCIE certificate) and years of experience.
Must have strong Cisco routing experience as well as Cisco and/or Avaya VoIP background. Cisco PIX and/or Checkpoint firewall experience is desirable.
Might involve consideration of second shift (4PM to Midnight). Second shift pays 10% shift differential.
Responsibilities:
q Assist in planning, design, and implementation of data communication systems
q Provide remote support of company's global data network of 100+ operations centers
q Responsible for complex testing and analysis of all network facilities, including Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, PIX firewalls, Cisco VPN concentrators, and various other communications equipment
q Interface with carriers and drive problem resolution during carrier outages. Monitors and controls performance and status of network resources
q Utilizes software and hardware tools, identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting network performance
q Work with end users, business units and external client technical teams to meet the data communications needs of all users and include in future policies and data communications planning and development
q Procure quotations for data communications equipment for projects and obtain approvals for this equipment.
q Work closely with client program managers to ensure timely delivery of client data communication needs
q Develop procedures and processes for the ongoing operation, maintenance, and backup of data communications equipment and systems to ensure 99.99% availability across enterprise
q Function as part of team consisting of voice and data personnel, end user personnel, outside vendors and clients to solve business problems
Required skills:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline or equivalent work experience
Knowledge and experience with Cisco IOS, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP. IPSec VPN’s
Knowledge of call center technology, carrier transport and provisioning (T1/E1/DS3/E3, ISDN, Frame Relay, MPLS)
Applications and Tools: Cisco IOS, Cisco Works, and Network General Sniffer
Occasional travel is required
