Sr. Architect

A s a senior Java/J2EE application architect/developer you will primarily be involved in web application development.  The Senior Developer will be involved in the full project life cycle.  The candidate will work with Project Managers and the business representatives in providing effective technical solutions.  The candidate will also be involved in development & support of our internet portal
Qualifications
To be considered for this role you need to have at least 7 years of Java enterprise applications development experience with strong JEE.  The candidate should have deployed multiple applications in BEA Weblogic Server platform 7.X and above.  A solid understanding of Weblogic Server internals is required.  Experience with application containers like Tomcat is a plus. The candidate must be proficient in UNIX, LINUX and Windows platforms.  Proficiency in SUSE LINUX is a plus. Working knowledge of BEA Portal is a strong plus. Other requirements include: GUI Systems:  GUI development in Java, JSP, Servlet, HTML and JavaScript is required.  Struts, portlet development & Ajax are a strong plus. Database Systems:  Experience with Sybase 12.x & above or Oracle 9.x & above is required. Other Programming Skills:  XML, SOAP, Web Services, and UNIX Shell scripting is required.  C++ is a plus. Business Knowledge:  Prior experience working in Securities industry is a plus. Project Experience: The candidate must have a solid track record of several successful full project life cycle implementations of JEE projects.  The candidate must be able to get the job done with minimum supervision. Communication Skills : The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills
