Senior Active Directory Enterprise Administrator
Individuals are systems administrators that normally operate independently with little intervention from more senior staff members in resolving all but the most complex problems. This position will require a senior level Windows Active Directory System Administrator with Active Directory and DNS planning, deployment and support experience. The position requires extensive experience with AD security delegation, AD disaster recovery, and AD group policy creation and administration, and login scripts.
This individual will be a member of the Global Enterprise Administration team that is responsible for Forest and Domain level support of Active Directory, internal DNS infrastructure, account administration and Windows Active Directory Infrastructure security implementation. Daily responsibilities include: implement and audit of minimum security configurations, some AD account/group administration related activities, configuration and implementation of Active Directory site configurations; group policies and local security policies; monitoring of AD replication and core services, facilitate automation and standardization for creation and maintenance of access on network shares; cross-train in various support areas in order to provide assistance during after hours on-call rotation. Candidate will also ensure that all documentation on process and procedures are available and updated regularly.
Required Skills for Windows Administrator / Active Directory Position:
• Must have three - five years experience supporting: • Windows Active Directory • DNS • DFS • Must have B.S. or equivalent (i.e. job experience) in Computer Science or related discipline. • Must have excellent problem solving skills.
The candidate should have an understanding of the following: Microsoft Windows 200x server, Windows Active Directory, Windows Security, application integration with AD, and scripting using VBScript and/or Perl, ADSI and WMI, DNS, NTFS, DFS, 3rd Tier Support and strong troubleshooting skills. Knowledge or experience in the following areas a plus: Citrix, VMWare, Microsoft MOM, and Cryptography.
