Modis has been tasked by one of their most respected clients to identify the following due to growth. Located in the Valley Forge area, our client anticipates the addition of a several RPG Leads. Our client is the leader in e-commerce with opportunities to use cutting-edge web technologies.
As a technical lead, you will be managing developers but not involved in resource management. Your time will be divided 80% hands on coding and 20% management. You will be responsible for developing new systems while maintaining existing systems. You will join a team of developers and perform design, development, and testing of a variety of i5 applications (third-party and home-grown). Responsibilities will include designing and implementing application solutions, creating specialized integrations, and working directly with management.
Requirements:
8+ years experience programming RPG III/IV, ILE, XML, CL
At least 1 year managing, leading, and mentoring RPG developers
Working knowledge of iSeries on multiple platforms and Change Management packages
Experience with FTP, stored procedures, database triggers, and embedded SQL
Database experience with Oracle and PL/SQL
Professional and outstanding communication skills required
Strong skills in critical thinking and risk management
Initiative and ability to meet deadlines head on
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related subject
Pluses:
Experience in a retail systems environment
Experience with ETL applications
Experience with WebSphere and Java
