The history of our corporation, Information Consulting Services, Incorporated (ICS) is as unique as it is successful and rewarding. On the morning of December 7, 1986 a father and son, Mr. Michael A. Sheridan, Sr. and Mr. Patrick J. Sheridan respectively, combined their unique and differing talents and experiences in the information technology world to form ICS, a privately owned Sub-Chapter S Corporation, incorporated in the State of New Jersey.
The two principals realized that in uniting their differing employment roles, Michael Sheridan, being a hands-on computer consultant, and Patrick Sheridan, being a computer consulting salesman, would not only satisfy a client's dual need of both marketing and technical support, but would also provide to their own organization an internal check and balance system for structuring their corporation in a conservative and profitable manner. Along with their goals for employee growth, client acquisition and revenue production, they also incorporated their unyielding philosophy of total commitment to our clients.
The technical goals of the corporation were originally structured to ultimately become a multi-faceted technology provider of information consulting services in four main areas, the fifth added a few years ago:
1.Application Development and Software Support
2.Network and Systems Architecture and Administration
3.ERP processing and Data Warehousing Support
4.Project Management Services
5.Internet and Web Integration
With the overall future goal of creating five strong service divisions within ICS established, the two principals realized they had to succeed in one technical area first, before advancing to the next service area. They also realized the best way to accomplish this technical growth and diversity was to hire the best technical support teams including PMI Certified Project Managers as well as hands-on technologists, both of which would become as diverse and versatile as the company itself. With five separate growth plans set in place for each service division, initially starting with the Application Development Group, the corporate entity of ICS, along with its dedicated and professional staff, began its steady climb in reaching their lofty expectations.
Seventeen years later, through dedicated and loyal commitment to our clients, as well as the continual acquisition of the information technology's finest people, ICS has become a world class single source provider of IT services supported by its five strong technical divisions. Forming true partnerships with our clients through time, and being welcomed back to any of those that we have served, not only provides the historical prospective of our corporation, but pays tribute to our fine employees as well.
