Although Core Business Technology Solutions was officially created in March of 2004, it is actually a business that has experienced ten plus years of growth and customer success.
In 1994, Jeff Lackey, current President and owner of Core Business Technology Solutions, founded KSM Consulting, an IT consulting company in Indianapolis with start up capital provided by the accounting firm of Katz Sapper & Miller. KSM Consulting’s mission was to be the recognized leader and premier provider of advanced systems and network integration and consulting services to the local business community, a mission that Core continues today.
Over the course of the last ten years, KSM Consulting has undergone a transformation of size, scope and service capability. From 1998 through 2004, majority ownership was held by Cincinnati Bell, under the company names of EnterpriseWise, Broadwing, and Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions. During this period, Jeff continued to serve as President, and the company continued to grow in revenue, size, and geographic scope.
In keeping with a strategy to focus more closely on its local market, Cincinnati Bell sold the controlling interest in the company to the management team in March, 2004, which was the genesis of Core Business Technology Solutions. Core now operates four offices with sales and full services capabilities located throughout the Northeast and Midwest US.
Throughout its ten year history, Core has maintained consistency in its leadership and management team.
