Founded in 1924, A. Duie Pyle’s corporate capabilities have grown from a one man, one truck operation into a highly diversified provider of integrated logistics resources. These services consist of Less Than Truckload (LTL), Truckload Transportation, contract and public warehousing, pool distribution and assembly consolidation, dedicated driver and equipment leasing, third party logistics services, and a host of other specialized services and equipment (including liftgates, cranes, self unloaders, flatbeds, protective services and over dimensional as well as heavy hauling).
Privately owned, Pyle’s owners are all active participants in the business and value long term business partnerships. Pyle still serves its first commercial customer, a relationship which has lasted for over 80 years.
A. Duie Pyle Warehousing & Distribution
We own and operate nearly 2,000,000 square feet of contract and public warehousing for more than 150 customers. Services run the gamut from rail car trans-loading to pick and pack and from flammable liquid storage to cooled space. Our conveniences include extensive EDI and FTP capabilities, personalized programming, and over 750 feet of indoor rail siding.

This high performance LTL service company had its roots in the Boston to Washington, DC corridor. Operating from twelve service centers, Pyle now serves all points in the Northeast, Southeast as well as the entire country of Canada.
On-time performance exceeds 99% on all shipments delivered direct throughout the Northeast. Satellite communications provide complete in transit visibility for our customers both through the internet as well as our Dashboard to DesktopÒ Technology. Time definitive delivery and specialized equipment (liftgates, cranes, curtain side trailers, heaters, etc.) are service features for which A. Duie Pyle, Inc. is probably best known. Guaranteed or expedited traffic is a market we also are in with our Pyle Priority offering.
Our specialty is industrial traffic including hazardous materials. Our fleet is air ride and E-Trac equipped. All drivers are Haz Mat and forklift certified. Our drivers and dock handlers are compensated by a profit sharing program which measures objective and subjective variables of performance including personal accountability for claims, safety, attention to detail, attendance and productivity measurements. To say our customers command the driver’s attention would be a serious understatement.
Pyle Transport Services
This TL company consists of more than 150 units operating throughout the Northeast providing van and flatbed service to a core of long time customers including PPG, Carpenter Technology, The Scotts Company, Lukens Steel, The Donnelley Companies, USX, Boise Paper, Bethlehem Steel, and numerous other smaller manufacturers. Some of these relationships go back more than sixty years. Services include liftgate, air ride, temperature protection, over-dimensional and heavy hauling. All drivers are Haz Mat certified.
ADP Logistics
Our third party logistics company provides a complete line of services from freight bill auditing and payment through designing and operating dedicated transportation and/or warehousing systems.
ADP Logistics specializes in effectively designing integrated logistics programs that capitalize on the expertise, specialized services and equipment, and leading edge technology of the A. Duie Pyle Companies (Warehousing, TL, and LTL). Blending together the multi-faceted resources of the Pyle Companies provides seamlessness and visibility through the entire distribution process.
ADP Logistics manages and operates all non-rail surface transportation (TL and LTL) for Consolidated Rail Corporation (CONRAIL-Shared Asset Area). Our responsibilities include the staffing and management of a freight consolidation center that allows for staging of material for Conrail locations. We are also responsible for the successful operation of a fleet of self-unloading equipment which provides unattended deliveries.
ADP Logistics also provides dedicated transportation services for those clients that need their own fleet, but don't need the headaches of running it themselves! Our programs allow our customers to vary the number of units they are running, depending up their needs. They are not locked into renting or owning excess vehicles for those occasional spikes in volume.
ADP Logistics coordinates all Pool Distribution and Inbound Consolidation programs for A. Duie Pyle, Inc. This team offers a single point of contact for their customers which includes scheduling the inbound loads at the terminals, pre-billing individual shipments and reviewing special services required for delivery, and handling all customer service questions.
Pyle Leasing
This business unit provides equipment rental and leasing and serves as a pool of accessible equipment resources as required by the other companies. During the 1994 Teamster strike, we were able to significantly flex our equipment capacity through this company enabling us to lose less than 1% off our on-time performance measurement during that industry crisis.
